Welcome to the Bynder Gala, the event where we pause to celebrate the powerful stories being written across our global team. Known as our company Oscars, this annual awards ceremony recognizes approximately 20 Byndies with honors like the Chris Hall - Innovation Award, Rockstar Rookie, and Commitment to DEI Awards. In a culture built on collaboration and continuous growth, the recognition itself is huge. Starting in 2025, every winner received a new, exciting prize option: This reward is designed to let Winners step away from the screen to foster high-impact, face-to-face collaboration, strengthen personal bonds with global colleagues, and experience another different hub of the Bynder team.Dive into this winner's journey to see how they're creating their own story and thriving with us.
The "Raise the Bar – Growth Award" goes to the Byndie who is consistently committed to personal and professional development. This person views challenges head-on, sees failure as an opportunity to learn, and works hard to become the best they can be.
Q: What does receiving this award mean to you personally?
Receiving the Raise the Bar award is incredibly humbling. While the prize itself, the upgrade to the Remote Work Experience, is an amazing opportunity and very generous of Bynder to offer, what truly meant the most to me was reading the notes from my colleagues. Their words were a wonderful reminder of the culture we have at Bynder, a culture of support, encouragement, and people genuinely cheering each other on. I hope we can keep this tradition alive so more Byndies can experience it and feel inspired to engage, grow, and lift each other up.
Q: When you reflect on the work that led to this recognition, what are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the small ways I’ve grown every day. Year over year, I’ve been challenged to stretch myself and contribute in ways that bring value to our customers and, in turn, to Bynder. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside so many talented colleagues, especially the incredible women who continue to raise the bar across the company. Being recognized in that context is truly humbling. That’s what keeps me engaged and why so many people stay with Bynder for over five years. I’m at four, and counting! It motivates me to keep learning and improving.
Q: Were you excited to hear about the new Gala award?
I was genuinely thrilled to hear about the Remote Work Experience Award! I think it’s such a thoughtful way for Bynder to celebrate and recognize Byndies. Beyond that, it’s an amazing opportunity to connect with teammates, explore new places, and get a feel for the broader Bynder community, while discovering small ways we can work better together.
Q: Why did you choose Boston?
I had never been to the U.S., and Boston felt like the perfect place to start the journey with beautiful fall colors, rich history, and amazing food. It was a city I was excited to explore while connecting with colleagues and experiencing the local culture.
Q: What were your initial thoughts on the Boston office?
I felt truly welcomed and right at home. There’s a real sense of community and local pride, and everyone was generous with tips on navigating the city and finding great food. I loved how dedicated the team is to making visitors feel at home and I have to give an extra shoutout to the softball team, which I was told takes on retired baseball players Thursday! Talk about commitment and raising the bar.
Q: Did you try any new foods or local experiences on the trip?
I made sure to dive into the local experience—especially Beacon Hill and the North End, Boston’s Little Italy. Walking Beacon Hill’s narrow streets felt like stepping back in time, and the North End’s smells of fresh bread, pastries, and pizza from family-owned bakeries were impossible to resist. I savored authentic Italian dishes, from pizza to the most indulgent cannoli I’ve ever had, and loved wandering the bustling markets.
I also explored other corners of Boston: strolling through Boston Common and the Public Garden, and checking out the Seaport District with its modern waterfront restaurants and public art. The mix of historic charm and modern energy made the city feel truly special. One week was far too short to try everything, so next time the classic lobster roll—and maybe a few more cannoli—will be top of my list!
Q: If you could bring one part of this experience back to share with the Barcelona team, what would it be?
It would be how open and welcoming everyone was. People just showed up, were happy to chat, share tips, and get to know you. That willingness to connect left a lasting impression on me and it’s the same culture we foster in our Barcelona office. It’s the kind of environment that can inspire any team, and I wish we had even more opportunities to connect across all our offices.
Q: What advice would you give to others aiming to achieve similar success?
Success isn’t just about hitting your own goals. It’s about the impact you have on the people around you. Be kind, support your colleagues, and celebrate their successes. At the same time, stay curious, embrace challenges, and focus on your own growth. When you lift others as you grow, the results are far more meaningful and lasting.
Q: What’s one memory from this trip you’ll never forget?
It’s now a funny story I won’t forget—on my very first day, I ended up at the ER at Tufts to get my eye checked. I had a nasty stye, which was uncomfortable and definitely not my best look, but the silver lining was seeing such a well-run clinic in action and getting proper care. Huge thanks to antibiotics and my partner, who always thinks of the things I don’t and made sure we had travel insurance. Without it, this could have been a lot messier. Thankfully, my eye was much better the next day, and I didn’t scare anyone in the office…though it would have been pretty on-brand for Halloween!
